The University of California has been granted patents related to improving photosynthesis (‘Transgenic plants with increased photosynthesis efficiency and growth’ and ‘Plants with increased water-use efficiency’) and has applied for a patent on genome editing of photosynthesis (‘Methods of screening for plant gain-of-function mutations and compositions therefor’) on which K.K.N. is an inventor.
