: E.F. is currently funded by grants from the UK blood transfusion services. One from the NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) to examine ways to encourage people form BME communities to donate blood, and one from the UKFORUM representing the blood services of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to examine an individualised risk assessment for blood donor selection. E.F. also sits on the FAIR steering group overseeing studies and policies examine an individualised risk assessment for blood donor selection.
