: This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. The Regional Ethical Committee (REK) of North Norway approved the NOWAC study and the study of miRNA expression in tumor samples from the NOWAC Post-genome cohort participants (REK nord 2010/1931, 2013/2271), including the use of clinical and questionnaire information, cancer tissue and storing of data. The NOWAC-participants gave written, informed consent at the time of inclusion to NOWAC, and they can withdraw from the study at any time. Participants may request that any collected samples and information be deleted. Storing of all relevant, not identifiable data, and the linkage to national registries have been approved by the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
