The informed consent form was completed for each patient after the full explanation to the patient’s first–degree relatives. The patient information was kept completely confidential until the end of the study and entered into the statistical software in a coded form. This study was presented on 01/05/2018 in the Medical Faculty Ethics Committee of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences under the title “Investigation of the frequency of complications and results of thyroidectomy surgery in patients at Qaem and Razavi Hospitals in the years 2011 to 2018” and number 971693 and with IR.MUMS.MEDICAL.REC.1398.613 code was approved.
