The Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Wachemo University, College of Medicine and Health Sciences provided the ethical letter and the medical directors of the hospitals where the data was collected provided written approval. Following an explanation of the study’s purpose, potential benefits, and the estimated time required to complete the interview, oral and written informed consent was obtained from each participating epileptic patient before proceeding with the procedure.
