: Cord plasma samples used in this study were obtained from the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Tissue Bank. Pregnant mothers were prospectively recruited for participation in the MCW Tissue Bank and written informed consent was obtained for collection of clinical information, maternal blood, placenta, and umbilical cord blood samples (Institutional Review Board (IRB) PRO#17015). Samples were prospectively collected at the time of delivery and sent to the tissue bank, processed per standard protocol to minimizing freeze thaw cycles, and then stored at -80 °C until use. This study was approved by the IRB at MCW and Children’s Wisconsin (PRO#36724), and all methods were performed in accordance with the relevant named guidelines and regulations.
