: This study, Prevalence and Determinants of Hypertension in Rwanda: A Secondary Data Analysis using the WHO STEPS Survey 2022, was conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines, including the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki and relevant national regulations. The study protocol was reviewed and approved by the Rwanda National Ethics Committee (RNEC) under Ref No. 553/RNEC/2021 on May 18, 2021. The National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda technically supported the study’s implementation and issued a visa for implementation. This collaborative approach ensured adherence to national statistical standards and ethical research practices. All study materials, including questionnaires and consent forms, were translated into English, Kinyarwanda, and French to ensure participant comprehension. Informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to data collection. To maintain confidentiality, participants’ names were replaced with unique identification numbers, and only anonymized data were analyzed. Additionally, data collection teams were assigned to areas where they were unlikely to have personal familiarity with respondents, ensuring privacy and minimizing bias.
