: This study is based on micro-data from administrative registers and was conducted on a secure server at Statistics Denmark. Register data is not subject to the requirement of consent and the study complies with GDPR and Danish data security regulations. The Regional Scientific Ethical Committees for Southern Denmark assessed the study and concluded that no further ethical approval was needed (cf. section 14, subsection 1, Act on Research Ethics Review of Health Research Projects – file number: 20192000-99). Analysis of register data was conducted in strict accordance with the guidelines of Statistics Denmark and the Danish Data Protection Agency. Data access through Statistics Denmark is granted only under stringent conditions, ensuring full compliance with information security and data confidentiality standards .
