: The plant material of P. fraxinifolia was collected from natural populations in northern Iran under a PhD research project approved by Tarbiat Modares University, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran. According to national regulations, the collection of plant material for academic research within Iran does not require additional permits when conducted as part of an approved university project. All sampling was done in compliance with institutional and national guidelines. We fully acknowledge the importance of adhering to the IUCN Policy Statement on Research Involving Species at Risk of Extinction as well as the Convention on the Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
