: All experimental procedures on animals that were being used for this study followed the standards of the Research Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine, Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt. Ethical approval for conducting the work was obtained from Suez Canal University (SCU) Animal Ethics Committee (number: 5636). All the rats (four rats per cage) were housed in polypropylene cages under standard laboratory conditions, and food and water were provided with ad libitum. Animals were handled gently, housed with suitable environmental and nutritional conditions, assessed for general health and body weight, and anesthetized before sample collection by an intraperitoneal injection of ketamine/xylazine, followed by cervical dislocation to minimize pain.
