: All procedures in this study were carried out as part of routine clinical veterinary care. Informed consent was obtained in writing from all pet owners prior to the initiation of treatment. Owners were fully informed that GS-441524 is not FDA-approved for use in cats and that the treatment protocol was based on published research by Dr. Niels Pedersen. The Iranian Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (IRSPCA) formally permitted the administration of this treatment protocol. All methods were performed in accordance with relevant veterinary clinical guidelines and ethical standards.
