: The Ethical Review Committee of the Faculty of Desert Agriculture, King Salman International University (KSIU), Egypt, approved the experimental protocol and all procedures involving animals for scientific purposes (Approval No.: KSIU/2025/DA-5). All experimental procedures were conducted in accordance with relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and regulations, and the reporting of animal experiments complies with the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines. The plant materials ( Avicennia marina leaves) used in this study were collected, examined, and botanically identified at the Faculty of Desert Agriculture, KSIU, by a qualified botanist (Dr. Ibrahim Ali Abouelsaad, Associate professor; email: ibrahim.abouelsaad@ksiu.edu.eg). A voucher specimen was prepared and deposited in the faculty herbarium (mangrove/DA-5/2025), following institutional collection and documentation standards.
