: This study is a secondary data analysis of the 2016 Ethiopian Demographic and Health Survey (EDHS) conducted after submitting a request form for accessing the data. The 2016 EDHS was carried out after obtaining ethical clearance from the Ethiopia Health and Nutrition Research Institute Review Board, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Institutional Review Board of ICF International, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Written informed consent was obtained from participants, and data were recorded anonymously at the time of data collection. All methods were conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Full information regarding ethical considerations is available in the EDHS-2016report.
