Liu are inventors of the technology, which has been granted patent protection in a number of countries, with the aim of making our micropulse blood pressure measurement technique available for clinical use, as required by the Impact goal of EPSRC, our research funder. A.J. Cossor is the owner of A C Cossor & Son (Technology) Ltd that is the joint owner of the patents for this technology with Newcastle University. No financial or other reward has been given. A. Murray is an unpaid member of the Scientific Advisory Board of STRIDE BP, a joint initiative of the European Society of Hypertension, International Society of Hypertension, and World Hypertension League.
