: The Gleditsia species collected in this study are widely distributed throughout Guizhou Province. The samples collected have been commercialized and are not endangered species, thus no specific license was required to collect samples. The Gleditsia fruit samples were collected from a Maocang Gleditsia Base located in Maochang Town, Bijie City. The trees in this plantation are cultivated and managed by the tree owners. All samples were collected with the permission of the respective tree owners. The specimens were identified by Professor Yang Zhao from the College of Forestry, Guizhou University. A number of the collected Gleditsia fruit samples have been deposited in the herbarium of the Forestry College of Guizhou University, with the following voucher ID numbers: Gs202308. The study was conducted with the informed consent of the plant owners and no conflict of interest existed.
