: The study was conducted after getting institutional ethical clearance from the Research and Ethical Review Committee of School of Biomedical and Laboratory Science, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Gondar. Permission was also obtained from the University of Gondar Comprehensive Specialized Hospital Clinical Director, Kallen Bnakafl and Menna Geriatric Support Centers Administration Office. The study participants were informed about the process, its purpose, and their right to refuse the study. A written informed consent was signed by geriatric study subjects. Codes were used to represent the study participants so that only authorized personnel could access the data. Geriatrics who had positive MDR bacteriological results were linked to health professionals for the required care. The study has been performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
