: The study adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki and received approval from the Ethical Committee of Wollo University College of Medicine and Health Science (Ref. No. CMHS1354/13/15). Mothers who met the inclusion criteria and gave birth in the study area were invited to participate by consenting to interviews and allowing access to their medical records. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants. Adolescent participants aged 18 and above provided their own written informed consent. For those under 18, written informed consent was obtained from their legal guardians in line with ethical guidelines, while individuals without guardians were categorized as non-respondents. All collected data was treated with strict confidentiality.
