: Before data collection, ethical clearance was obtained from the Ethical Review Committee of the Department of Public Health, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Wollo University. Cooperation and permission letters were secured from the Amhara Regional State Health Bureau and DCSH administrators. Verbal informed consent was obtained from each participant after explaining the study’s purpose. Participants were informed of their right to refuse participation without any consequences. All data collected were kept confidential by using codes instead of personal identifiers. Data were securely stored in locked file cabinets and ultimately destroyed by burning. Participants identified with poor glycemic control were referred to physicians for further follow-up and management. This study adhered to the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki, ensuring the welfare and rights of participants were protected throughout the research process.
