: All animal procedures in this study were approved by the Ethical Committee of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Assiut University, in accordance with the Egyptian bylaws and OIE animal welfare standards for animal care and use in research and education as follows: #06/2023/0109 titled “Effect of amniotic membrane and amniotic membrane powder on healing of skin wounds in dogs (An experimental study)” approved in August 2023. The reporting of animal experiments adheres to the ARRIVE guidelines. The study uses a within-subjects design, where each dog serves as its own control. This design reduces the variability and increases the power of the study, allowing for fewer animals to be used compared to a between-subjects design. The dogs were captured, used in the study, and then returned to their original locations, with no euthanasia performed during the study.
