: The research was conducted in adherence to ethical guidelines for animal experimentation, with ethical approval for the study obtained from the Bahir Dar University Institutional Review Board of Research Ethics Committee, under approval number (BDUIRBREC/1207335), dated April 2, 2024. This animal study followed the ethical standards established by the IGAD Center for Pastoral Areas and Livestock Development Ethiopia, which focuses on the national animal welfare strategy and implementation. These standards pertain to various animal categories, including those used for education and research, livestock, working animals, companion animals, wildlife, captive animals, and aquatic animals. This study was reported in accordance with ARRIVE guidelines and encompassed the appropriate study design, sample size, inclusion and exclusion criteria, randomization, blinding/masking, outcome measures, statistical methods, experimental animals, experimental procedures, and results.
