: The plant materials were collected only for experimental purposes only. The collection was made from the institute’s botanical garden/ex-situ conservation site (Surya Kunj), and around the vicinity of district Almora, where each of the species is marked and taxonomically described (with barcodes). Necessary permission was taken for sample collection, and it abides by institutional and national guidelines and legislation.
