: The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki, and collection of patient samples was approved by the SJREB and was assigned the protocol code SJREB-2024-22. The institutional ethics boards of both participating institutions, BGHMC and RMC, reviewed the study and approved its implementation in their respective sites. Written consent was obtained from each participant after they received an executive summary of the study from the project staff. In addition, all participants voluntarily provided a separate written consent allowing the VRV biobank to store their samples for testing and future use. The collected samples and all resulting products are labelled with an identification code that does not contain any personal identifiers. All associated data obtained from participants are stored in a password-protected Laboratory Information Management System, accessible only to authorized members of the project team.
