: All experimental procedures were approved by the Committee on Animal Ethics of the College of Fisheries, Ratnagiri (Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, Maharashtra, India) under registration number COF/FHY/BOS/783/2022. This study adhered to the ARRIVE (Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments) guidelines. The methodology, as well as the care and maintenance of the fish, were conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Fish were humanely euthanized using clove oil.
