: Adequate plant material of wild Punica granatum (Anardana) was collected during the appropriate season from different locations associated with Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) under Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, located in the districts of Poonch, Rajouri, and Ramban, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The collected plant material was taxonomically identified and authenticated by Parshant Bakshi, Professor and Head, Division of Fruit Science, Faculty of Horticulture and Forestry, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, who is a recognized authority in fruit science. The collection of plant material was carried out with prior permission and in accordance with the institutional guidelines of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu. As the Krishi Vigyan Kendras function directly under the administrative framework of the university, a separate voucher specimen or accession number was not deemed necessary. Nevertheless, authenticated reference specimens of Punica granatum are maintained at the respective KVKs for future verification and reference.
