: The study was conducted with the requisite permissions obtained from the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden of the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Departments, Governments of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Mizoram. Each animal was sedated prior to biological sampling and subsequently released back into its natural habitat; no individuals were killed from the wild. All methods were carried out in accordance with the ARRIVE 2.0 guidelines and all relevant regulations, under the approval of the host institution (Approval No. Zoo/Corr/2025/05, dated 3 February 2025).
