: The authors declare that none of the species involved in the current study (namely, Festuca vaginata Waldst. & Kit. ex Willd., Odontites luteus (L.) Clairv., and Sporobolus cryptandrus (Torr.) A.Gray) are considered as vulnerable, threatened or endangered according to IUCN, neither are they legally protected in Hungary (see Act LIII of 1996 on Nature Protection). The authors also declare, that all specimens and samples the authors processed during their research were collected outside of the protected areas in Hungary.
