: Ethical approval for collection of faecal samples and administration of anthelmintic drugs to the naturally infected sheep was obtained from the Institute Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC), Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana vide IAEC/2023/134 − 55 dated 22.05.2023 (GADVASU/2023/IAEC/69/19). The sheep owners were sensitized about the purpose of study and all the protocols were conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
