: Tagetes erecta is not listed under endangered or threatened category in India, and no wild plants or plant materials were collected for this study. Therefore, no collection permits were required. Tagetes erecta var. sweet orange seeds were procured from a commercial seed supplier and germinated under in vitro conditions for the experiments. This study complies with all relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines, including the IUCN Policy Statement on Research Involving Species at Risk of Extinction and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
