Specifically, the Board of Regents for The University of Texas System have applied for a patent (Application Number: WO2025029876A2) that includes the BrainHealth Index and the online platform. The status is currently pending. Inventors include the following study authors: Aaron M. Tate, Sandra Chapman, Jeff Spence, Erin Venza, Lori Cook.
: All activities conducted through the BrainHealth Project and BrainHealth Platform were approved by the University of Texas at Dallas’ Institutional Review Board prior to the initiation of research activities. All procedures comply with the Declaration of Helsinki and institutional ethical standards.
: Participants’ informed consent is obtained online through the BrainHealth Platform. Participants’ informed consent can be provided using a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer that connects with the internet. The consent form includes comprehension questions and a place to provide consent (no electronic signature required) at the end.
