: This study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee of Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia under the expedited review category (Approval Code: CONSTANCIA-CIEI-344-33-23). The project titled “Desarrollo y evaluación de un protocolo basado en la secuenciación MinION (Nanopore) para determinar la heterorresistencia en pacientes con tuberculosis directamente de muestras de esputo” was reviewed and approved on August 14, 2023 (Registration Code: 211560). All experiments were conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. The requirement for informed consent was waived by the Institutional Ethics Committee for the use of anonymized residual diagnostic sputum samples. No human genomic data or patient information were involved.
