Cell lines: The human breast cancer cell line MCF-7 was obtained from ATCC. STR profiling and routine testing for mycoplasma contamination authenticated the cell line. The cells were cultured in high-glucose DMEM supplemented with 10% FBS and 1% penicillin‒streptomycin at 37 °C in a humidified atmosphere containing 5% CO 2 .
