: Ethical approval for this study was obtained from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Dilla University College of Medicine and Health Sciences (Protocol No. Ref.No-duchm/irb/028/2024). Parents or legal guardians were informed about the objectives and benefits of the study before enrollment of eligible neonates. Written informed consent was obtained from the parents or guardians prior to data collection and face-to-face interviews. Participant confidentiality was maintained through data anonymization throughout the study. Laboratory results were communicated to outpatient department physicians for appropriate clinical management. The study involved minimal risk and was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
