Ethical approval: This study used data from the research project IMAC-Mind (Improving Mental Health and Reducing Addiction in Childhood and Adolescence through Mindfulness: Mechanisms, Prevention and Treatment, BMBF 01GL1745B). Within our subproject of the IMAC-Mind consortium 46 , participants were recruited through advertisements in schools in Mannheim, Germany, through social media, and with the help of the local registration office of Mannheim. Both participants and their primary caretaker gave written informed consent before study participation. The ethics committee of Medical Faculty Mannheim, Heidelberg University, approved the study (2007-024-N-MA). The study is conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki (2013 in Fortaleza, Brazil, revised edition) and the ICH‑GCP guidelines (German Register of Clinical Trials; ; DRKS00014920).
