Ethical approval and consent to participate: The current study complies with relevant institutional, national, and international guidelines and legislation for experimental research and feld studies on plants (either cultivated or wild), including the collection of plant material. All methods described in this study were carried out in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations. The collection of tea plants used in this study was conducted with proper permission from the appropriate authorities. The necessary permits were obtained prior to plant collection, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards. Voucher specimens of the collected plant material were deposited in a public herbarium at the University of Aydin Adnan Menderes. The voucher number assigned to the specimens is AY54789. These vouchers serve as a reference for the identification and verification of the plant species studied.
