Ethical approval: All procedures performed in the animals of this study were previously approved by the Animal Use Ethics Committee (CEUA) of Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic (Campinas, Brazil) under protocol number 2024/11, on April 3rd 2024. The title of the approved project is “Evaluation of the effects of osteolike cells derived from the periosteum cultured under microgravity: an experimental study in osteoporotic rats”. The experiments fully complied with the provisions of Law No. 11,794 of 8 October 2008, Decree No. 6899 of 15 July 2009, and the standards established by the National Council for the Control of Animal Experimentation (CONCEA).

Human and animal rights: Concerning the human cells and their secretomes used in this study, the biobank generated by a previous study of our group was used. This research (entitled “Analysis of the viability and plasticity of cells isolated from the periosteum collected by the standardized AP method.”) was previously approved by the Research Ethics Committee of Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic on April 15th 2024 (number 6.765.029; CAAE: 76,220,223.0.0000.5374), and free and informed consent forms were obtained in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
