: Animal housing and all experimental procedures were approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee of the KU Leuven (Belgium) under protocol number P077/2021. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were freshly isolated from umbilical cords obtained from multiple donors (newborns, soon after birth) of unknown sex with approval from the Ethics Committee Research KU Leuven/UZ Leuven under the approval number S57123 and informed consent obtained from all subjects (parents).
