: The study was performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Dutch legislation does not necessitate the acquisition of approval from institutional or licensing committee for experiments on the CAM terminated before hatching of the chicken embryo. Immortalised human vascular endothelial cells (ECRF24) were immortalised at the VU Medical Center Amsterdam from HUVEC cells. HUVEC were harvested from umbilical cords obtained from the Department of Gynecology, Amsterdam University Medical Center, using generalised consent approval of the local ethical review committee of VU University Hospital (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) through the code of anonymised usage. Human ovarian carcinoma cells (A2780) were purchased from European Collection of Authenticated Cell Cultures (ECACC 93112519), Human Dermal Fibroblasts adult (HDFa) from ATCC (ATCC PCS-201–012). Human pericytes were purchased from ScienCell Research Laboratories.
