Our case object is the educational ideas of Ma Zongrong, a famous educational figure in modern times; as such, experimental data and biological materials are not involved in the analysis of the cases, and none of the historical documents we have cited deal with ethical issues. Therefore, this study does not need to obtain ethical approval.
