: The study was approved by the Institute Human Ethics Committee (IHEC) of the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India. The approval was granted on July 19th, 2023. Although data collection commenced earlier, in October 2022, and continued until December 2023, approval was delayed due to the procedural requirements of the IHEC. To obtain permission, researchers are required to submit a detailed research proposal and deliver a formal presentation in front of the ethics committee, which meets once every 12–18 months. While awaiting approval, all research activities followed the guidelines provided for human research by the ethics committee, and final approval covered the entirety of the study.
: Before data collection, all participants were briefed about the research purpose, procedures, and their involvement. Written consent was obtained from each participant using a consent form, which outlined their participation, the recording of interviews, and the use of data exclusively for research purposes. Participants were informed that all data, including ethnographic observations, would remain confidential, and their anonymity would be preserved.
