: The study received ethical approval from the Ethics Committee of the School of Translation Studies, Shandong University (Weihai), China (Approval Number: SDUWT-IRB-20230501) on May 10, 2023. All research procedures involving human participants were conducted in strict adherence to the ethical guidelines outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki (2013) and the relevant institutional regulations. The scope of the approval encompassed participant recruitment, data collection, informed consent procedures, data handling, and the utilization of digital storytelling software (Adobe Spark) as an educational tool within the research framework. This comprehensive approval ensured the protection of participants' rights, safety, and well-being throughout the study.
: Informed consent was obtained in writing from all participants prior to their participation in the study, specifically on April 15, 2023. The consent process was administered by the principal investigator, Huihui Xian, ensuring that each participant fully understood the study’s objectives, procedures, and their rights. Participants were informed about the voluntary nature of their participation, the ability to withdraw at any stage without consequence, and assurances of confidentiality and anonymity of their data. For participants under 18 years of age, written consent was additionally obtained from their legal guardians. No financial incentives or other forms of payment were provided to participants. The scope of consent included participation in the study, use of data for research purposes, and consent to publish anonymized results. Participants were also informed that their data would be securely stored and only accessible to the research team, with no foreseeable risks associated with their participation.
