: This study received ethical approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the University of Trinidad and Tobago on October 12, 2017 (Ethical approval reference number: UTTO/264/17). The research was performed in accordance with the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Code of Ethics.
: The instrument used in this study was prefaced by an informed consent letter in which respondents were given detailed information about the nature and purpose of the study and an assurance that the data would be used exclusively for academic purposes. The participants were also assured that their responses would remain anonymous and confidential. Participants were notified that there are no foreseeable risks associated with participating in the study and that they could discontinue at any time without consequence. The participants confirmed that they were all adults who freely and willingly consented to complete the survey by selecting the appropriate option in the online questionnaire.
