: The ethics approval of this project was exempted by the Institutional Review Board of the authors’ affiliation, Wenzhou-Kean University (Approval Reference: WKUIRB2004-100). This project only inquired about educational perspectives towards tutoring sessions. All the procedures followed the Declaration of Helsinki. The approved duration of the project was from February 1, 2024, to August 1, 2024, from the date of approval (February 1, 2024). The reasons for the exemption were that no sensitive topics or information were touched. Also, the risk level was no greater than the minimal risk of this project. Participants are over 18 years old and not in the vulnerable group. This qualifies under Exemption Category 1 (Education Research involving the Study of Normal Education Practices) and Category 2 (Interaction involving Education Tests, Survey or Interview Procedures, or Observation of Public Behavior) of the WKU IRB.
: Informed consent was obtained from all participants who met the requirements at Wenzhou-Kean University through written forms at the beginning of their decision to participate in this project on March 9th, 2024. The consent process included full disclosure of the project’s purpose, procedures, data usage, and publication. Participants were not involved with vulnerable individuals. Furthermore, due to the project being concerned with non-interventional research, participants were assured of confidentiality and anonymity, with all identifying information removed or anonymized. The purpose of this project and the reason for conducting this project were clearly stated in the informed consent. The data collected was only used when analyzing for this project. No personal information will be leaked due to the procedure. For any inquiries, participants were provided with the researchers’ email address. The risk level was no greater than the minimal risk of this project. All procedures adhered to ethical guidelines to ensure the protection of participants' rights and the integrity of the data.
