: No ethical approval was required or obtained; in Denmark, from a legal perspective, only biomedical research has to be notified to the ethics committee of the respective region (). Therefore, when the study was initiated, no IRB existed at our institution. We follow the guidelines laid out in the Danish Code of Conduct for Research Integrity and on the respective international declarations, such as the Singapore and Montreal declarations.
