: The data was collected through the GTM program, under the research regulation provided by the third author’s Institutional Data Privacy and Protection office. This study was performed in line with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Approval was granted by the Institutional Research Board at Campbell University (Approval #803 on February 22, 2023).

: Informed consent was received from all participants and/or their legal guardians to participate in the study and to have de-identified data published. This consent was received when participants agreed to participate in the mentoring program. In addition, each participant was read the study consent statement and provided verbal consent at the beginning of their virtual, password-protected interview. The interviewer reconfirmed the consent when starting the interview recording so that it was also part of the interview transcript.
