: The Research Office for Ethical Review at the United Arab Emirates University reviewed and approved the research proposal, interview protocols and questionnaire which were created in compliance with the UAE University’s ethical research protocols associated with human subjects. Upon successful institutional approval on February 20, 2022, the following reference number was issued: ERS_2022_8476. In addition, all the protocols used in the conduct of the personal interviews followed the Declaration of Helsinki involving the use of Human subjects.
: Informed consent was received from all participants between March 15–June 15, 2022. They were all informed beforehand about the purpose of the research and interviews via emails in order to secure their participation. Before the commencement of each interview, a signed consent form detailing the rights of each participant was obtained from each participant. The consent form contained the option for participants to stop participating at any stage of the interviews if they felt uncomfortable or had a change of mind. Also, the consent form included the option of anonymous and non-anonymous attribution of responses in publications. Participants were also assured in the consent form that their responses would only be used for the purpose for which they were collected.
