: This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the University of Haifa (Approval No. 181/22; May 2022). Approval covered participant recruitment from an assisted living facility, screening for capacity to consent, administration of playful and control online sessions, pre-/post-assessments, and recording of sessions for fidelity checks. All procedures were conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and relevant national regulations.

: Written informed consent was obtained in July–September 2022 from all participants by the study coordinator after verifying comprehension with three questions. Consent covered participation, data collection and analysis, session recording for fidelity purposes, and publication of anonymized results. All participants had capacity to consent; no minors or legal guardians were involved. The methodology and questionnaire for this study was approved by the Human Research Ethics committee of Haifa University for review (No. 181/22).The participant in the photographs (Figs. , ) gave written informed consent for publication.
