: This study has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences of the University of Twente in the Netherlands (nr. 240058; 28 February 2024). The ethical committee subscribes to the Dutch ‘Code of Ethics for Research in the Social and Behavioral Sciences involving human participants’, developed by the National Ethics Council for Social and Behavioral Sciences and endorsed by all associated institutes.
: Informed Consent was requested from all participants in the interviews. This was based on the information and templates that were part of the ethical approval (see above), and adhered to the data management rules and regulations of the University of Twente, the Netherlands. Data was not collected from vulnerable people, nor was sensitive data collected. During the study period (Sept 2024–April 2025), participants who accepted the interview invitation were sent the consent form by email to sign digitally before taking part in the interview and being recorded on video (online interview). The consent form contained information on: The goal of the whole 4-year project The goal of the current sub-study (reported on in the manuscript) What kind of data would be collected (course documents, interview data, video recordings of the interview) Where this data would be stored (on a save and secure data storage repository of one of both Principle Investigators/project leads of the whole 4-year project. That is Saxion University; Saxion Files Cloud Drive) That all data would only be used and made available to the four participating researchers in this sub-study That the 11 cases would only be reported on in an anonymous way (case A–K) That all participants were allowed to step out of the research or interview at any time, and were allowed to delete previously made statements.
