: The study includes students’ critical reflections on our MSc course “Integration in Science, Policy and Practice: Inter- and Transdisciplinary Concepts, Methods, Tools” at ETH Zurich in Switzerland as part of their final group presentations at the end of the course (spring semester 2024). The study was granted ethical approval by the ETH Zurich Ethics Commission under the number 25 ETHICS-057 on February 25, 2025.
: Students were asked for permission to record the final group presentations, which was agreed upon by all students in order to allow us co-lecturers and co-authors to critically reflect on our course in terms of content and structure. In addition, students were invited to review the learning outcomes and lessons learned section of the manuscript and were given the option to decline the use of any anonymised verbatim quote. No one chose to withdraw any quote.
