: Ethical approval for this survey study was obtained from the Research Ethics Committee at King Khalid University (approval number ECM#2024-3125; approval date October 16, 2024; approval valid until October 15, 2025). All procedures involving the participants were conducted in accordance with the committee’s regulations (HAPO-06-B-001) and the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. The approval covered the protocol titled Academic Burnout in EMI Programs, including recruitment and online questionnaire data collection, and the use of de-identified data for research dissemination.
: Informed consent to participate was obtained from all participants through an online information and consent form presented at the start of the survey. Consent was provided electronically by each participating undergraduate student before any responses were recorded. Data collection took place during the ethics-approved period from October 16, 2024 to October 25, 2024. The consent covered voluntary participation, the use of de-identified data for analysis and publication, and the right to withdraw at any time without penalty. Participants were informed about the study purpose, the measures taken to protect anonymity, how data would be stored and used, and that the study involved no more than minimal risk.
