: The study was approved by the Malatya Turgut Özal University Translation and Interpretion Department Head on November 1, 2024. First, the permission was asked from the department to carry out the study. Then, all participants were informed about the study, and informed consent was obtained from all participants for participation in the study, use of their data in the research, and publication of the findings in an academic article. All procedures performed in studies involving human participants were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards. The scope of approval covered the ChatGPT for L2 writing development and grit support and the writing task using ChatGPT, collection and analysis of data, and the use of anonymized data in academic publications.
: Written informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study. The consent was obtained by the principal investigator prior to data collection in November 5, 2024. All participants were fully informed that their anonymity would be assured, that the research aimed to investigate ChatGPT for L2 writing development and grit support, and that their writing data would be used for academic research purposes only. They were also informed that participation was voluntary and they could withdraw at any time without consequences. The scope of consent covered participation in the writing task using ChatGPT, collection and analysis of data, and the use of anonymized data in academic publications.
